Its Not Actually Hard to Understand Portuguese if you Speak Spanish

Hey Everyone,

Well this week was super cool. we had a ton of success and found some really awesome new investigators. One of the families that we found is an older couple Jorge and Teresa. They live with there young married daughter and her family. The interesting thing about them is that Jorge is Paraguayan but his wife is Brazilian and really only speaks Portuguese, but she does understand Spanish almost perfectly. Jorge speaks spanish Guarani and Portuguese and as a family is seems that they all just speak Portuguese in the house. The daughter who has lived in Paraguay her whole life doesnt really even speak guarani which is really unusual.

 Anyway, during our lessons with them, we talk all in Spanish and jorge talks with us, but his wife just speaks Portuguese at us and I can pretty much understand 80 percent of what she says, only occassionally do we have to ask for clarification. Anyway, she seems super interested and told us she beleived that what happened to Joseph smith is definitely possible, she said she had a spiritual experience some years ago when her daughter was sick and the doctors thought she was going to die. But something happened and she ended up recovering fully and super quickly, it was a super cool story.

We have encountered a lot of people recently who have really good questions for us, it is such a blessing.

Hey Everyone, I hope you all had a good week. Down here in Paraguay things are going well. I am loving my new area and, and my companion Elder Castro has a ton of energy, so we are gonna kill it. It has been beyond HOT this past week, like almost 110 with humidity. But we are still out everyday trying to teach people about Jesus Christ. Maybe this will sound obvious to all of you, but I have been thinking about how important it is to share this message we have with everyone we know. The gospel of Jesus Christ and all that he did for us is so important. I am so grateful for the knowledge that I have about Jesus, about his plan for me and how I can be like him. As I try harder and harder each day to be like my Savior I can see that it is not easy. He never had it easy as long as he lived and as long as I am trying to be like him it will never get easier. Mission Release Appointment with President Judd and Report to Napa Stake High Council

Elder Seibert, President Judd has received notification that you will be returning from your mission on July 11 th . He has asked me to schedule your release interview at 645 that evening at the Stake Center.  President Judd would like to meet with you and your immediate family in your mission release interview. These interviews typically include some time with you, the missionary and President Judd; followed by some time with available immediate family members. During the personal interview, President Judd will be reviewing My Plan which should be provided to you in your mission, typically sometime in the last 4-6 weeks of your mission. Ideally, you will have this document for review and preparation prior to your return. If you are unable to obtain a copy I can email a PDF to you, just let me know.
