On the Back End of My Time in Mexico City
Hey Everyone,
Well fortunately things have been going pretty well here in the CCM. This week went by super fast and I am happy to say that I am still loving it here. It´s pretty crazy to think that I am in the middle of Mexico City right now because the campus we have is huge and very well taken care of. It really reminds me of Napa High campus in a lot of ways except this place is a lot more fun.
This week we had two surprise devotionals that were broadcasted in from the Provo Missionary Traingin Center, one from Elder M. Russel Ballard on Sunday and then Tuesday we heard from Elder Neil L. Anderson (for those that don´t know they are some very important Church leaders and I would recommend looking them up). Elder Ballard talked about focusing on the work and not getting distracted by more worldly things and Elder Anderson talked about the importance of prayer in our work. They were both very inspiring.
Finally, my Spanish is coming along very well and I am definitely improving everyday. During the week though we were playing volleyball with some Mexican Elders and we had enough people that we were subbing players in and out of the game. I was sitting on the side struggling to talk to this Mexican elder in Spanish and then I asked him were he was from and in perfect English he said, "Oh, I´m from Orem, Utah" so that was pretty funny, but I´m glad I am able to at least have some kind of conversation in Spanish now. It´s amazing how quickly you can learn just from talking and listening to Latino teachers and missionaries all day.
That´s all that I have to report this week, I love being a missionary!
Love,
Elder Seibert
P.S. - Sorry no pictures this week, but there really wasn´t anything too picture worthy this week
