The Real World
Hey Everyone,
This week quite a bit happened, I will give you some of the highlights. This week started off with some pretty heavy lessons. We were at a member`s house for lunch and she told us that we should go visit a lady down the street, she is an investigator of the other missionaries in our area. We were told that she just had a misarriage. It is strange that someone would send a coupleof 19 year old boys to go console someone who just lost a baby, but because of our calling we were able to help. I don`t have any idea what losing a baby would be like, but because of the spirit that webrought to the lesson we were able to provide some words of comfort. I do not know a lot of Spanish, but I shared my short testimony of eternal families, that God has a plan for us and we will be able to see our entire familiy in Heaven. There is a plan for each of us.
Later that same day we taught a man in our ward who I knew had just gone through a separation. During the lesson though I found out that it was becasue his wife had cheated on him with his bestfriend. Once again, I have no idea what that would be like, but the spirit was so strong during the lesson. He has a super strong testimony of this gospel and we talked about why we go through challenges in this life.
Then, at the end of the week we were at members house when her son walked in and said someone stole another Sister`s motorcycle from the church whilethey were at Pathways class (everyone here rides motorcycles). It was pretty crazy, on our way home we passed by the church and there was a gang of about 7 men from the ward on 3 motorcycles (yes the numbers are accurate) who went to go search the nearby areas to try and find the bike. As far asI know, they still haven't found it, but hopefully it turns up.
Anyway, I feel like I am making Paraguay sound like a depressing placew, the truth is, the people here are super friendly and everyone is everyones's friend for the most part. I will focuson the positive experiences next week.
Love,
Elder Seibert
(Sorry no pictures this week, next week will be better)
