Maybe This Week Will Be Better

Hey All,

This week was challenging. We have been working with a small pool of investigators and been spending too much tome walking around in the sun. However, yesterday at church we got 2 super good refences we need to contact this week as well and a kid in our ward brought a friend who is interested in learning more to church. So we got three investigators handed to us. A small miracle becasue we havent been very successful these past couple of weeks.

Christams season is starting here and people are starting to put up their fake pine trees everywhere and lights in the mango trees. Definitely different but I love it. They all think it is funny that snow is a thing around Christmas time. They see it in the movies, but here we are headed in the hottest part of the year in what I am convinced is the hottest country in the world. Humidity included.

Anyway, things are going well. I really love everything about this place other than the climate. The people are incredible, super nice, super funny, and super humble. Every day I realize how lucky I m to have wat I have. Everyday it is something else that strikes me, One of thh kids in my ward was talking to me and said, "You probably get like 5 or 6 presents for Christmas, Chu-Chi" (Chu-Chi is what they call people here that live high class, or just about any American. Not offfensive, just makes you feel bad.) I didn't really know how to respond to that. That kids mom told me if either of my parents like spending their money, they can spend it them. They would be happy to have some extra income, haha. I should say though that I have spent a lot of time convinvcing people that I am not  chu chi. Paraguayans dont like it if it is obvious you have a lot of money.

Love,
Elder Seibert
