House Hunters
Hey Everyone,
I hope you all had a good week. This week started off a little crazy for us but quieted down as e went on. Overall super good. Anyway, last Monday I was in Asuncion at the mission home for a dentist appointment, don't worry I am fine. the real news came after when we got back at about 5 that evening.
So to start the story I should say that the house we live in is pretty big here in Ybera. Well in the hallway to the kitchen the floor sunk into the ground probably about 4 or 5 inches. So on either side there is exposed dirt in between the tiles and the wall. Well when we arrived, due to the hug amounts of rain the night previous and extremely hot temperatures during the day, about 200 to 300 cockroaches invaded our house. Luckily they were mostly all dead because of this insecticide stuff they give us here that is super strong that we spray in the house, but needless to say not a happy surprise. The obvious next step was look for a new place to live which we did, but after a couple conversations with the guys at the office we found out that they had just paid 3 months rent in advance so we are stuck in the same house for a little while.
Anyway, other than that things aren't too bad. I am really enjoying the area and love the people here. The work is going well.
Love,
Elder Seibert
PS cockroach pictures to come next week. Also I have a pretty good video of the experience that yall can see when I get back
